Applied theatre is a fairly a new idea in the Indian society, it is very much useful in diverse areas. Applied Theatre simply means application of theatre to help people learn. This methodology is used in schools, old age homes, government and non-government organizations, business and industries. ATI Foundation covers essential aspects of this methodology and provides students with practical exposure to applied theatre practices on a national and international spectrum.

The PGDAT (PG Diploma in Applied Theatre) is divided in three trimester and in each trimester students have to attend four days of classroom training every month at our Pune campus.
Practice based workshops will enable students to learn and practice applied theater methodologies. The workshops will develop facilitation skills and help learn instruction design, pedagogy of participation, ability to handle questions and discover learning from the process
There will be few theory courses that students will attend online. This will help them to develop a deep understanding about the subject and gain perspective towards practice. It will also provide an opportunity to develop interest in research and publication.
While studying the core subjects it is also important to have exposure about the field you are working in. We have thus developed a master class series to learn various innovative practices in Applied Theatre.
Each student has to complete a specific duration of internship during the course tenure.
