About Course

Diwali Techno Fest for kids aims at developing skills in different areas of technology such as Programming, Designing, Analysis, Presentation etc. The TechoFest Workshop will provide competitive environment to the students which will help students to acquire best of inputs and exhibit their talents in different areas of IT.

Modules

 

1.RoboCHAMP Jr. Engineer-Manual Robotics

Objective:

  • To introduce Manual Robotics to Student of  Age Group of 8 to 12 Yrs.
  • Introduction to various robotics parts will be given

 

Session Goals:

Things you will learn in Workshop:

  • Various Parts of Manual Robots
  • Explanation about different mechanical building elements like channel, angles, plates, shaft, gears, wheels & nut bolting.
  • Assembly of Manual Robot
  • Explanation of electrical elements like motors, battery, switches, remote
  • Controlling manually operated Robot

 

Activities during the Workshop:

  • Robot part introduction
  • Assembly of parts
  • Mounting & controlling of Motors
  • Building & understanding operations of Manual Robot Model

 

Materials Provided:

Participants will be provided the manual robotics kit for the workshop

2.Adv RoboCHAMP Jr. Pro Engineer- Learn Electronics

 

Objective:

  • To introduce basic electronic components & circuits to Student of Age Group of 8 to 12 Yrs.
  • To teach working of electronics components & circuits
  • Introducing circuit design software
  • To Build electronic circuits on breadboard

 

Session Goals:

  • Various parts of basics electronics
  • Application & working of circuits
  • Building of different circuits in software & hardware.
  • Testing of electronics components & measuring the values

  • Electronics part introduction

3.Jr. App Developer – Android App Making

Overview:

  • MIT App Inventor is an intuitive, visual programming environment that allows everyone – even children – to build fully functional apps for smartphones and tablets.
  • Blocks-based tool facilitates the creation of complex, high-impact apps in significantly less time than traditional programming environments.

 

Session Goals:

  • Software development by empowering all people, especially young people, to move from technology consumption to technology creation.
  • Blocks-based coding programs inspire intellectual and creative empowerment.

 

Activities during the Workshop:

  • Understanding Android System
  • Build various apps for Android like Calculator, Notepad etc..

 

Materials Required:

Individual participants will require internet enabled laptop/desktop the workshop.

 

Target group:

  • Age Group 10 to 15 Yrs.
  • School Students

  • Participant will understand about Android System.
  • Participants will able to develop their own Android Apps.

 

4. Drone Making – Build & Fly your Drone

Objective:

  • Drones have always awed people & isn’t it cooler if you know to?
  • The idea of flying surveillance cameras, robotic companions & even unmanned aircraft carrying supplies around the planet is swiftly becoming mainstream. So much that there are rules & regulations being put in place to monitor the high level of activities taking place in the domain. To get started with drones, we bring to you this workshop.

    • Mechanics of Flying Drones
    • Different hardware of Quadcopter
    • Assembly, balance & controlling of Drone
    • Wireless Communication: Wi-Fi
    • Circuitry of Drone

  • Participants will also gain insights to various programming platforms and shall be able to understand overview of electronics, mechanical, electrical and IT programming.
  • Program shall include hands on for Voice Controlled Robot & live demo on above Technologies.
